As a leading genomic company in sub-Saharan Africa, this recognition provides inqaba biotec™ with an opportunity to increase international visibility, build new connections, and establish strategic partnerships that support our ongoing commitment to advancing life science research and innovation in Africa. During the company’s inception, it received essential start-up funding from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland in form of a loan as well as foreign direct investments from mainly Swiss and German private investors in 2002. Currently the company has branches in eight sub-Saharan countries aimed at delivered tailored life science goods and world standard genomics services to researchers in this region.
