Inqaba Biotec East Africa Ltd (IBEA) has an established office in Nairobi providing excellent support to leading research and academic institutions as well as diagnostic laboratories in the region since its founding in 2010. From the start of its operation, IBEA’s aim has been to improve the logistics of the supply of life science and molecular diagnostics products and the offering of genomics services in East Africa. As always, we want to offer quality products/services at competitive pricing to all our customers in East Africa.

As part of our commitment to our customers and in addition to our own stock in Nairobi, we have developed the local freezer programs at some of the leading research institutions in Kenya. We are planning to install more of these freezers soon to ensure that researchers do not run out of basic reagents needed in molecular biology.

IBEA aims to offer quick delivery times and meeting customer needs timeously. The field of molecular biology has grown tremendously in East Africa at large in the past few years. Molecular biology labs are being set up at many institutions and we have found ourselves being able to offer reagents, instruments, and services as well as unparalleled aftersales support to these institutions.

We have slowly become one of the most sought-after suppliers of molecular reagents and equipment in the region. We have been part and parcel of the growth of the molecular biology industry in the region. We not only supply reagents and equipment, but also help build capacity by offering trainings yearly in our famous Phylogenetics Workshop. We also sponsor and participate in conferences and trainings in the region. We have indeed become a molecular household name.

Our office in Dar es Salaam representing the Inqaba Biotec East Africa, Tanzania branch (IBTZ) was incorporated in 2018 but opened for business in 2019. Our staff is dedicated and work tirelessly with the common goal of meeting the growing demands of the Biotechnology and Life Science needs in Tanzania and the neighbouring countries including Burundi and Malawi. We provide excellent support to scientists, academic institutions, private and public research organizations. Consequently, we have become the signature of genuine and quality supplier in the region.
