Purification
Tell the oligo team what the oligo is for and how long it is. We will recommend a purification and send you a quote.
Scales and delivery
Minimum guaranteed yields for a standard 20-mer, and delivery for orders of up to 20 oligos that pass quality control.

Yield in OD, measured at 260 nm. One OD of a 20-mer is about 5 nmol. Every oligo is desalted as standard.
48 hours applies to orders received before 09:00.
Usually delivered before 11:00, dry in a tube. Spin it briefly before opening: the pellet often comes loose in transit.
Outside South Africa, courier is charged extra.
Modifications and dyes
Dual-labelled probes that bind between your primers. Taq polymerase cuts them during extension, freeing the reporter to glow.
No G at the 5′ end: it quenches the reporter.
BHQ 1 with FAM, HEX, TET or CAL Fluor Orange 560 and 590 · BHQ 2 with CAL Fluor Red 610 and 635, Cy3 or Cy3.5
Hairpins that hold reporter and quencher together. Binding the target opens the stem, and the reporter lights up.
